The Lady Jayne Collection evokes romantic but practical thoughts of yesteryear with an elaborately embroidered sewing box and matching accessories that will store and protect your scissors, thimble, needles, pins, tape measure & threads. The collection was jointly created along with Sadias Designs.
Creative hand stitches on such sewing boxes, were decorative as well as utilitarian and a lady's sewing tools were treasured. These needlework pieces would originally have been worked by hand as part of a young girls schooling but with today's sewing technology we are able to reproduce the vintage look of times gone by, in much less time.
This collection can be embroidered on rich velvets, silks, linens and cottons or you may choose to use the plain style to showcase hand embroidery, tapestry, brocade or other special fabric.
We hope that you enjoy making these needlework items as your own heirloom or as a wonderful gift for a sewing friend. The designs are sold collectively in a collection. Variations are provided, where embroidered or plain sewing box with accessories can be stitched out, as well as designs to decorate wearable or decor items. There are a total of twenty-five (25) designs in the collection. An embroidery design is offered as a sample at the bottom of the page.
